Start with the material and finished product
Window parts, door cassettes and office-furniture components have different requirements. State the material, desired appearance and whether the part will be used indoors or outdoors. This gives the basis for selecting a coating system.
LMAB describes a finishing facility with drying equipment and catalytic treatment of solvent emissions. Its machinery page lists sanding equipment and an automatic coating machine. Preparation and coating need to be planned around the part’s shape and visible surfaces.

Identify the surfaces to finish
Describe the function and appearance on a drawing or with a sample. This helps clarify edges, backs and connections to adjoining parts.
- Visible surfaces
- Mark the faces, edges and recesses visible after assembly, together with any other surfaces requiring treatment.
- Colour and sample
- Provide a colour reference or desired sample. State whether the grain should remain visible or an opaque finish is required.
- Quantity and workflow
- Give quantities and part dimensions, and state whether LMAB will only coat the components or also machine and assemble them.
A coating-system name alone does not guarantee a particular durability or test class. Finished-surface requirements need to be agreed for the selected product and treatment.

Can an enquiry cover finishing only?
Describe the supplied parts, material, quantity and existing surface. Finishing is a published LMAB service; preparation and delivery arrangements need to be agreed for the order.
Are interior and exterior products covered?
Yes. LMAB describes finishing for both applications. State the product and environment so a suitable system can be assessed.
Can machining and coating form one order?
LMAB also offers CNC machining and assembly. Specify the sequence and any dimensions or surfaces needing checks after coating.
How can coating quotations be compared?
Check that material, preparation, treated faces, coating system and quantities are the same. A sample can provide a clearer shared reference than a colour description alone.
